NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police have a man in custody after a Bronx shooting on Wednesday afternoon left one person dead.
The shooting happened at about 2:22 p.m. at East 161st Street and Morris Avenue in Concourse Village.
Officers assigned to patrol the area saw the suspect shoot the victim in the chest, police said.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and died, officials said.
Police pursued the suspect and were able to apprehend him. Charges against him are pending.
A gun was recovered from the scene.
