NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Bronx man wanted for allegedly stabbing his 28-year-old girlfriend to death inside their apartment in 2010 was arrested in January in Las Vegas.

Hector Ramirez, now 41, has since been charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon for allegedly killing Elia Zamora in August 2010 inside their Kingsbridge Heights home, police said Friday.
The New York Daily News reports that her nine-year-old son witnessed the incident but was unharmed.
Ramirez was quickly identified as the alleged suspect, but authorities were not able to track him down.
The Daily News reports that he was indicted in 2017 by a grand jury for murder and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Cops said Ramirez was ultimately arrested and charged Thursday afternoon.
Following his extradition and indictment, Ramirez was ordered held without bail following a brief arraignment proceeding in Bronx Criminal Court Thursday night, the Daily News reports.
