NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man was beaten and stabbed all over his body at a Bronx subway station this week after wishing a group of people a "Happy New Year," police said Thursday as they released photos of the suspects.
The 29-year-old victim was on the southbound D platform at the 182nd–183rd Streets station in Fordham Heights on Monday night when four men approached him around 8:45 p.m.
The victim wished the men a "Happy New Year," enraging them and causing a dispute, police said.
The four men punched the victim repeatedly in the face and body before one of them used a sharp object to stab him numerous times throughout his body.
The victim suffered various stab wounds in the attack. He was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition.
His four attackers fled on foot and remained at large Thursday.
