
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man with a history of stealing copper from the city’s subway system was busted Tuesday after allegedly selling off his latest haul in Brooklyn, according to a report.

Prince Hayes, 59, was arrested while selling off 31 pounds of copper cops believe he stole from the subway, the Daily News reported.
Hayes has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
Hayes has 43 arrests dating back decades relating to copper theft, sources told the News.
He’s reportedly awaiting sentencing for a related arrest in 2019.
Sources told the News Hayes tends to focus on the R line — and that his most recent bust was for stealing cable near Sunset Park’s 25th St. station.
