NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a 68-year-old man Monday accused of choking his sister to death inside a Brooklyn apartment last month.
At approximately 6 p.m. Saturday, July 26, police responded to a 911 call at a senior housing apartment complex on St. Johns Place in Crown Heights. Police listed the complex as the home address for both the victim and suspect.
Upon arrival, officers observed 64-year-old Mary Fagan unconscious and unresponsive in the living room.
EMS pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner deemed the incident a homicide.
Thomas Fagan was arrested on Saturday and charged with murder.
He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Sunday and was remanded without bail, court records show. He is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 7.
