NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Long Island man died after he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree along the Long Island Expressway Wednesday morning, the NYPD said.
Bhagwant Srichawala, 32, of East Meadow, was driving a 2008 Subaru Legacy west on the expressway, near Kissena Boulevard in Queens, around 4 a.m. when he veered onto the right shoulder of the road and struck a tree, police said.
The crash left Srichawala with severe body trauma, the NYPD said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police didn't immediately release any additional details about the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
