NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after a man was fatally shot in the head in broad daylight on a Queens street on Wednesday, authorities said.
At approximately 4:33 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot within the vicinity of Humphreys Street and 27th Avenue in East Elmhurst, officials said.
Upon arrival, police observed an unidentified male shot in the head.
EMS transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst where he succumbed to his injuries.
There have been no arrests made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending at this time.
