NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 45-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the head during a bar fight in Queens on Sunday night that also left his suspected killer hospitalized with a stab wound, police said.
NYPD officers responding to a 911 call shortly before 10 p.m. found the victim stabbed in the head outside Kelly's Pub at 41st Avenue and Main Street in Flushing.
The victim was unconscious and responsive as EMS transported him to New York-Presbyterian Queens on a rainy Sunday night.

He died from his injuries at the hospital. He was identified by police as Elliot Ortiz, of Flushing.
A suspect, 39-year-old Jason Schuler, 39, of Flushing, was taken into custody at the scene and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Schuler was stabbed in the back during the fight, according to police.
He was transported to the same hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Investigators believe the two men stabbed each other during the fight, the New York Post reported.
No other arrests or injuries were reported.
