
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 30-year-old man was found murdered in his Bronx residence over what police are calling a rent dispute, and a person of interest is in custody.
Police responded to the apartment building, located at 1022 Throgs Neck Expressway in Throgs Neck, at about 6:10 p.m. on Saturday after receiving a 911 call reporting an assault.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Kristopher Samaroo with trauma to his body. He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and pronounced dead.
One person of interest is in custody, sources told 1010 WINS.
Multiple reports have pinned Samaroo’s landlord as the person in custody, stating that he beat his tenant to death over unpaid rent.
