NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A dead man was discovered near a concert stage in Central Park on Wednesday evening, police said.
His body was discovered around 6:45 p.m. near East Drive and East 72nd Street, by the Rumsey Playfield, the venue that hosts SummerStage.
He hasn't been identified but is believed to be in his 20s. The medical examiner will determine his cause of death.
Law enforcement sources told the New York Post that he had no apparent signs of body trauma.
The discovery came after days of frigid temperatures in the city. The high only hit the freezing mark on Wednesday.
