
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A man is wanted for approaching and repeatedly groping a 50-year-old woman on Tuesday morning on a lower Manhattan subway platform, and police released photos of the suspect to help in his apprehension.
The woman was climbing the stairs out of the Fulton Street subway station in the Financial District at about 7:48 a.m. when a stranger approached her from behind and put his finger between her legs, police said.
Authorities said that he then grabbed her buttocks before fleeing the station in an unknown direction.
The 50-year-old was not physically injured as a result of this incident.
Her assailant is described by police as about 5’8” and 160 pounds, and he was last seen shirtless while wearing a black baseball hat, white shorts and black sneakers.
