NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released images Monday of a suspect who allegedly groped a woman at a Tribeca subway station over the weekend and then punched her in the face for confronting him.

The 37-year-old woman was walking up a staircase at the Canal Street station on the A line around 2 p.m. Saturday when the man grabbed her breasts over her clothing, police said.

That sparked an argument between the two of them, during which he punched her in the face, according to police.

She suffered a laceration to her face and declined further medical attention at the scene, police said.

He fled the station and remains at large.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
