NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released photos of a man accused of beating an on-duty NYPD traffic agent in Brooklyn Wednesday morning.
It happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Avenue U and East 8th Street in Homecrest.
According to officials, a 57-year-old NYPD Traffic Enforcement Agent was on-duty and in uniform, performing his duties, when he was approached by the suspect who was driving an orange BMW.

The suspect began having a verbal dispute with the traffic enforcement agent regarding a summons that had been recently issued to his vehicle by the agent, cops said.
Following the verbal dispute, the suspect began to repeatedly strike the agent in the face then fled in the orange BMW to parts unknown.

The victim sustained pain and swelling to his face and lips and was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in stable condition.
