NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 32-year-old man was indicted for sexually assaulting three women who were jogging along the Hudson River Greenway in Upper Manhattan, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Kenneth Miller allegedly attacked the woman over the course of September.
“New Yorkers deserve to use our city’s many trails and parks without fear,” said Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. “Kenneth Miller preyed on women using the same pattern: attacking them in broad daylight as they were out for a run.”
The first attack took place on Sept. 14. Miller allegedly cornered the victim with his moped, claimed he had a gun and demanded cash.
When the victim said she didn’t have any money, the attacker groped her and stole her iPod.
The second incident took place just days later on Sept. 18. Miller is accused of groping a jogger as he drove behind her on a moped or similar vehicle.
The third and most brutal attack happened on Sept. 24, according to prosecutors.
Miller allegedly grabbed a woman by her hair as she ran by, pulled a knife on her and forced her off the trail to a stairwell.
He allegedly punched her in the face, slammed her head against hard surfaces and blindfolded her before sexually abusing her.
He also stole her phone and smartwatch when he fled, authorities said.
Miller faces charges for kidnapping, sexual abuse, assault, robbery and forcible touching.
