NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was found dead after a homeless encampment caught fire in Brooklyn early Sunday morning.
The FDNY found an unconscious man with burns when they responded to a fire that was spotted by an NYPD aviation unit near the Flatbush Avenue exit of the Belt Parkway around 12:20 a.m.
EMS pronounced the unidentified man dead at the scene.
The area of the highway he was found at is surrounded by the Marine Park salt marsh.
