NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police released surveillance video of a trio of suspects accused of hitting a man with glass bottles in a botched carjacking in the Bronx early Sunday.

At approximately 4:41 a.m., a 55-year-old man was washing his vehicle in the rear of 1251 Jerome Ave. in Highbridge when the three suspects approached him and threw glass bottles at him striking him in the head.


According to officials, the suspects attempted to steal the victim's vehicle but were unsuccessful and fled on foot southbound on Cromwell Avenue.

The victim refused medical attention.
