NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police released a photo on Wednesday of the suspect who punched an MTA worker on a Queens bus two weeks ago.
The MTA worker was assaulted while on duty in Queens on Oct. 23, at the intersection of Merrick Boulevard and 109th Avenue, along the Q85 bus route, police said.
The bus operator, 38, was approached at around 10:30 p.m. by an unidentified man who then punched him in the face before fleeing the scene on foot.
The victim sustained facial injuries and experienced swelling but declined medical treatment at the scene.
The suspect at the time of the attack was wearing dark shorts and a green sweatshirt and is estimated to be between 40 and 45 years old, police said.
