NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man stabbed a subway rider multiple times during a random attack at a subway station in the Bronx early Friday morning, police said.

The victim, a 21-year-old man, was aboard a downtown 2 train around 7 a.m. as his attacker was pacing through the train cars, according to police.

The assailant then set his sights on the victim—stabbing him repeatedly in the right arm unprovoked, police said.

NYPD officers responded to the 219th Street station in Williamsbridge, where they found the wounded victim.

He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in a stable condition.

The stabber remained at large Friday, with no arrests reported.
