NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a gunman after a man was injured in shooting at a Bronx basketball court Saturday night, authorities said.
Officers responded to a 911 report of shots fired at The Pearly Gates Park located at St. Peters and Tratman Avenues in Westchester Square just before 8 p.m., cops said.
According to officials, a man was shot in the back during a basketball game.
The victim was transported to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
The gunman was described as a man in his 20s.
He fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
