NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who shoved an 18-year-old woman to the ground, tried to rip her necklace off and stole her wallet in Queens.
The unidentified suspect approached the victim from behind on Tuesday around 7:05 p.m. on Hillside Avenue near 167th Street in Jamaica Hills and grabbed her wallet out of her hand, according to officials.
Security footage shows the suspect shoving her to the ground and dragging her around by the neck as he tries to rip her necklace off.
When he couldn't get it off, he fled with her wallet.
The victim suffered cuts to her neck, but didn't require further medical attention, authorities said.
