NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man accused of slashing another man across the face in a random attack at a Manhattan subway station Monday evening.
The incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. inside the East 110th Street station in East Harlem, along the 4, 5, 6 subway lines, officials said.
According to officials, the suspect approached the 51-year-old victim on the mezzanine level of the station and slashed him with a sharp object in the face before fleeing the station to parts unknown.
The victim suffered a severe laceration to his face, according to the NYPD.
EMS transported him to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem for treatment.
