VIDEO: Man slashed multiple times in random attack on UES, suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a suspect who randomly slashed a man multiple times on a Manhattan sidewalk Thursday afternoon.

The 29-year-old victim was walking on 3 Avenue and E. 63 Street just before 2 p.m. when the attacker approached him from behind, authorities said.


Without provocation, the man slashed the victim in the back and left arm before fleeing the scene, according to police.

The victim was taken to NY Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspect is described as having a dark complexion, about 30-years-old with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, a black balaclava mask, black jeans and black sneakers.

Just before the assault, the suspect was seen riding a black E-bike near the scene of attack.
