NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police released a photo on Tuesday of a man who randomly slashed a 24-year-old while he was buying a MetroCard at a Midtown subway station last week.
The attack happened on April 15 at midnight at the mezzanine level of the 47-50 Streets-Rockefeller Center subway station.
An unidentified man approached the victim from behind while he was buying a MetroCard and slashed the right side of his face with a cutting instrument, according to police.
The attacker then fled the station on foot.
The victim sustained a severe facial injury and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and brown pants.
