NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a man who allegedly slashed two women across the face in an unprovoked attack at a Bronx apartment building this week.

Police said Thursday that they’ve identified the suspect as 26-year-old Bryce Montesdeoca.

According to the NYPD, the two victims—a 77-year-old woman and 23-year-old woman—were inside a building at Bruckner Boulevard and Underhill Avenue in Soundview on Monday when they were attacked.

The suspect approached them around 7:30 p.m. and brandished a cutting instrument, police said.

He allegedly slashed both women across the face and then fled the scene.

The victims suffered facial lacerations and were transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. They were listed in stable condition.
