NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was wounded in a stabbing near Times Square on Tuesday evening, police said as they searched for his attacker.
The 41-year-old victim was assaulted during a dispute with another man at West 45th Street and Eighth Avenue in Midtown during the height of the evening rush around 6 p.m.
His attacker used a cutting instrument to stab him in the hip, police said.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was in stable condition.
The stabber fled the scene and remained at large Wednesday.
It's unclear what sparked the dispute. WABC-TV reported the victim is a migrant who lives across the street at the Row NYC Hotel.
