
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was stabbed in the chest early Monday morning at a subway station in Queens, police said as they searched for his attacker.
The 23-year-old victim had been arguing with his attacker, believed to be in his 30s, aboard an eastbound A train shortly before 2 a.m.
The two men got off the train at the 111th Street station in South Richmond Hill, where the fight spilled onto the platform, police said.
During the confrontation, the 23-year-old was stabbed in the chest by the other man.
The victim got back on the train and rode it one stop to the Ozone Park–Lefferts Boulevard station.
The victim was transported in stable condition to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
No arrests had been reported as of Monday.
Less than an hour after the stabbing, a 25-year-old was slashed in the face at the Cypress Hills station in Brooklyn. Hours before that, a 54-year-old man was stabbed in the arm at the 149th Street–Grand Concourse station in the Bronx.
