NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection to an attack in upper Manhattan that sent a male victim and innocent bystander to the hospital earlier this month.

A 38-year-old man was standing on Broadway near Tiemann Place in Manhattanville at 7:25 p.m. on June 15 when two unknown men approached him and began a fight, police said.

The altercation became violent when one of the suspects stabbed the 38-year-old two times on his left side, and the other shot him in his left shoulder.

Authorities said that the bullet passed cleanly through the man’s shoulder and struck a woman, 20, in the right hand.

The suspects, depicted in surveillance images released by police on Friday, fled in an unknown direction.

EMS transported both victims to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
