NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was stabbed and slashed by two men with a knife and scissors on a Greenwich Village street this week, police said.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects on Sunday, less than three days after the brutal attack Thursday night.
Police said the 53-year-old victim was walking in front of 395 Sixth Ave.—about a block away from Washington Square Park—when the two men attacked him around 11:20 p.m.
The assailants used at least one knife and a pair of scissors to stab and slash the victim repeatedly, police said.
EMS rushed the victim to an area hospital, where he was treated for a stab wound to his back and slash wounds to his face and leg.
No property was reported stolen.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
