NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was killed and another injured after being stabbed in Manhattan's Lower East Side on Saturday night, police said.
Officers responded to 75 Norfolk St., located near Delancey Street, at about 8:30 p.m. and discovered 20-year-old Amir Smith with a stab wound to the torso.
Two blocks away, near Delancey Street and Clinton Street, a 19-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds to the back, police said.
Both victims were rushed by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. Smith was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the teen is in stable condition, authorities said.
Smith lived on 6th Street in the East Village, about 0.7 miles from where he was killed, police said.
Police sources told the New York Daily News that two people were being questioned after the deadly stabbing, but that it is not clear if they are considered suspects.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
