NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 45-year-old man was stabbed five times in a deadly attack outside an Inwood bar early Sunday morning, just a block from his home, according to police.
The attack occurred around 4:25 a.m. outside Karamelo Bar & Kitchen on Nagle Avenue near Thayer Street. Police responded after a 911 call from the bar, where they found the victim, later identified as Omar Lopez. He was transported to Harlem Hospital but was pronounced dead.
Authorities released surveillance footage of a man sought in connection with the attack.
The NYPD has not yet confirmed if the stabbing is directly related to the bar.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
