
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage on Wednesday of a man wanted for robbing two fast food chain restaurants in Brooklyn and Manhattan last month.
At approximately 4:47 p.m. on Monday, March 24, a 39-year-old man was approached by the suspect inside of a Sonic located at 730 Broadway in Williamsburg.
The suspect displayed an unknown object wrapped inside of a black bag and instructed the victim not to move, then stole approximately $340 from the cash register. He then fled in a black Toyota Camry to parts unknown, authorities said.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, a 52-year-old woman was approached by the suspect inside of a Burger King located at 146 Delancey Street, on the Lower East Side, cops said.
The suspect produced an unknown object wrapped inside of a black bag, told the victim that he had a firearm, and asked for money before removing approximately $160 from the cash register, according to officials.
He then fled on foot heading northbound on Suffolk Street.
There were no injuries reported as a result of either incident.
