Man's body pulled from harbor in Brooklyn, 2nd body recovered in a week: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials recovered the body of a man from the New York Harbor in Brooklyn early Monday, according to the NYPD.

This is the second body pulled from Bay Ridge in less than a week, authorities said.

The man, who appears to be in his 40s, was discovered just before 6 a.m. floating near Bay Ridge Avenue and Shore Road unconscious and unresponsive, authorities said.

Responders pulled the body from the water with no visible signs of trauma.

He was pronounced dead on scene.

The medical examiner’s office will determine the man's official cause of death.

Another man's body was pulled from the New York Bay off Brooklyn's Bay Ridge on Wednesday morning.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was pulled from the water and brought to the 69th Street Pier at 8:30 a.m., according to police.
