NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A pair of subway passengers attacked a 60-year-old woman after she tried to stop them from riding in an elevator with her because they weren't wearing masks, the NYPD said.
The woman was getting into an elevator at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center in Brooklyn around 12:20 p.m. on Nov. 13 when the two tried to walk in behind her, police said.

Surveillance footage from the scene shows the woman hold up her hand and point to her mask to keep the two from walking into the elevator. The woman told the two they had to wear masks if they wanted to join her inside, the NYPD said.
After one of the riders pushes the woman aside and enters, the woman starts to push the other rider to keep her from entering, at which point both riders begin to beat the woman, the footage shows.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with leg pain and bruises on her face after the altercation, the NYPD said. The two riders who attacked her fled the scene, police said.
Both riders were between 16 and 20 years old, the NYPD said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
