NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 30-year-old Maryland man was arrested outside of a Queens precinct with a loaded gun over the weekend, authorities said.
The Beltsville resident, Anthony Gamez, was in front of the 114th Precinct on Astoria Boulevard near 35th Street in Astoria around 11:30 a.m on Sunday when police say an officer noticed a bulge in his pocket.
Gamez was later stopped and found in possession of a loaded Springfield Armory firearm, the New York Post reported.
Police said Gamez was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and possession of a large-capacity ammunition magazine.
According to authorities, Gamez has no prior arrests in New York.
