NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage on Monday of two men wanted in connection with a hate crime assault on the Lower East Side earlier this month.

The incident occurred at about 3:15 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, in front of 177 East Houston St.

According to officials, the suspects approached a 26-year-old man and made anti-immigration remarks before punching and slashing him in the arm.

The attackers then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue and is in stable condition.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the assault.
