NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An MTA bus driver had gun pointed at him while being threatened after he told a passenger to pay his fare last month, police said.
The incident happened on Dec. 23 around 9:20 p.m. on the Q17 bus. A man entered through the front door and did not pay his fare, authorities said.
When the 59-year-old driver asked the man to come over to him the two began arguing at which point the bus operator asked him to get off the bus, according to officials.

After he got off the bus, the man took out a gun and threatened to kill the driver while pointing the firearm at him. He then got in front of the bus and pointed the gun at the bus driver again before fleeing the scene.
No injuries were reported as a result.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
