The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on the platform of the northbound J train at Broad Street and Wall Street. The angry straphanger was set off as the conductor tried clearing a train of passengers, a police source told the Post.

“Someone took umbrage to being told to get off the train,” the source said. “They took a glass bottle and struck the train operator on the head.”

Cops said the 44-year-old victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect was described as a blonde man carrying a green shopping bag.
