MTA conductor slashed in face at Bronx subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for a man accused slashing an MTA train conductor across the face at a subway station in the Bronx Tuesday afternoon.

It happened early at the Whitlock Avenue station in Foxhurst when a 36-year-old conductor was looking up and down the platform. According to officials, a man came up and slashed the left side of her face.

The conductor was taken to an area hospital.

Manhattan-bound 6 trains were running with delays immediately following the incident.

"How is she going to complete 24 years or more, depending on her age. She was 36-years-old with 15 months on the job, TWU Local 100 President John Chiarello told 1010 WINS.

The investigation is ongoing.

This is the second attack on an MTA conductor in two days. On Monday night, a man used a cardboard box to beat an MTA train operator who awoke him on a 7 train in Queens on Monday night.
