The attack came just a day after David Mazariegos, 25, was arrested for allegedly beating a man to death at the turnstiles of the same station on Tuesday.

According to authorities, the victim—Nicola Tanzi, 64—was holding an emergency exit gate open for Mazariegos, who "didn't like the way he looked at him."

Mazariegos punched and kicked Tanzi's head 15 times in the brutal attack around 3 p.m. Tuesday. He was arrested later in the day in Times Square, where he was allegedly found with the victim's credit cards.

According to reports, Mazariegos has more than a dozen prior arrests, including for assault.
