MTA worker finds man dead on tracks at Tribeca subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after an MTA worker found an unidentified man laying on the tracks of a Lower Manhattan subway station early Monday.

It happened at around 1:55 a.m., on the 1 line of the Franklin Street station in Tribeca.

According to officials, the man was not struck by a train and was already on the tracks when he was found. Officials are unsure how the man got on the tracks.

So far, there is no criminality suspected and the medial examiner will determine the man's cause of death.

An investigation remains ongoing.
