NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released an image Sunday of a person of interest in a Bronx shooting that happened right in front of two children.

The new image shows the wanted man exiting a subway turnstile.

Horrific video released by the NYPD on Friday shows a masked gunman shooting a 24-year-old man in front of the 10-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother on Sheridan Avenue in the Claremont section on Thursday evening.

The video shows the 24-year-old victim running into the two young siblings, who fall to the ground with him. The gunman then comes up and shoots the man at close range as the kids duck beside him.

The children were not injured. The man who was shot suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his back and legs.

Police said the gunman fled on a scooter driven by a second man.

On Saturday, Brooklyn borough president and mayoral candidate Eric Adams said he would offer $2,000 of his own money to help catch the shooter. The reward would be in addition to the NYPD’s $3,500 reward, according to the New York Post.

“I am offering a personal reward to anyone who has information that would lead to apprehension and conviction of the individual who discharged those bullets at those babies. Because if he would do it to them, he would do it to your family members,” Adams said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
