NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 36-year-old man from Ocean County, New Jersey, was accused of creating and distributing child pornography, prosecutors said.

Christopher Budelman of Brick faces two counts of producing child pornography and one count of its distribution, according to a statement released by the U.S. Attorney's Office.

His initial court appearance was on Monday and he was ordered to remain in custody following the hearing.

In June 2022, Budelman allegedly lured at least two minors into performing explicit acts during online video chats while he masturbated, authorities said.

The videos were recorded and stored on his computer, authorities said.

Additionally, between September 2021 and June 2022, Budelman allegedly sent images and videos depicting child sexual abuse to other people through Kik Messenger.

A further examination of Budelman's computer revealed nine more videos which had recordings of video chats on a free online chat site between Budelman and children depicting them engaged in sexually explicit conduct, the complaint stated.
