MANHASSET, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A Queens woman accused of stealing packages from a Long Island home while working for Door Dash last month was arrested on Wednesday, authorities said.

According to detectives, just after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3, a 54-year-old woman reported to police that a package had been stolen from outside of her residence located on Highland Terrace in Manhasset.

During the investigation, officials found Juliana Saggaram, 33, of East Elmhurst, responsible for the theft.

While working for Door Dash, Saggaram picked up a food order from a Chipotle, then drove around the local area and canvassed for outside packages, authorities said.

While holding the food order as a cover, Saggaram walked onto the property, took the package and fled the scene.

Saggaram was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Sixth Precinct located at 100 Community Drive in Manhasset.

Saggaram was also found to be responsible for an additional petit larceny that occurred on Sunday, Sept. 3, at 5:00 p.m. in Sands Point, officials said.

Saggaram was charged with two counts of petit larceny and issued a Nassau County Appearance Ticket. She is due back court on Friday, Oct. 20.

Detectives request if anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a similar crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or 911.
