Robert John Sabet, the owner of Brooklyn Chemists in Gravesend and Lucky Care Pharmacy in Flushing, made $6.8 million by billing Medicare and Medicaid for expensive prescription drugs that were never dispensed.

Sabet also paid customers kickbacks to convince them to fill certain expensive prescriptions at his pharmacies.

He used his ill-gotten gains to buy luxury goods, including a Porsche worth over $250,000.

Federal prosecutors charged him with conspiracy to commit health care fraud and unlawfully spending the proceeds.

He faces up to 10 years in prison.
