NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Tom Brady might have announced his retirement, but the NYC Department of Sanitation has another idea — offering him a job to shovel snow.

"Hey @TomBrady! We hear you may have some extra time this winter," the department tweeted Tuesday after Brady's announcement.

"Feel free to join our Snow Laborers and help shovel snow & ice after winter storms. We are still hiring! ... And you help keep NYC moving!," they added.

It would be a significant change for the 44-year-old, who is known among sports fans as the G.O.A.T., or greatest of all time, after winning seven Super Bowl titles in 22 seasons with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady's retirement announcement, which came after mounting speculation, did mention his desire to "focus [his] time and energy on other things that require [his] attention."

With nearly 8 inches of snow from last weekend's powerful nor'easter, the department may be looking for Brady's "attention" to finish clearing what's left of the snow.
