The officer was stationed at a motorcycle checkpoint at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge at 10 p.m. when the motorcyclist refused to stop, plowing into a metal barricade that careened into the officer, according to police.

The cop suffered an injury to his leg and was treated at a local hopsital, police said.

The NYPD took the motorcyclist, identified as 36-year-old Brian Weldon, into custody.

He faces charges including two counts of assault, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon, operating an unregistered vehicle, and resisting arrest.
