NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 44-year-old man in Brooklyn was verbally harassed when an unidentified man, unprovoked, started making anti-Muslim comments at him, the NYPD said Thursday.

The incident took place around 7:45 p.m. Sunday at Rogers and Clarkson avenues in Flatbush. The unidentified man did not attack the victim and fled right after making the hateful comments, police said.

The victim was not injured.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.
