NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An NYPD officer was hospitalized with a possible broken leg after he was struck by a car in Brooklyn Wednesday evening.
Police said the incident occurred before 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of East 83rd Street and Foster Avenue in Canarsie.
The uniformed officer was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County after he also suffered from cuts and bruises.
Cops said the driver abandoned the vehicle and ran from the scene.
No arrests have been made and no additional details were made available at this time.
