NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man slashed a parkgoer with a knife at a playground on Manhattan's West Side in the middle of the afternoon, police said.
The person was slashed at McCaffrey Playground on W. 43rd Street in Hell's Kitchen around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, police told the New York Post.
A knife-wielding man, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, "slashed another park occupant" before fleeing the area, according to police.
The victim's injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.
The suspect was last seen headed eastbound down W. 43rd Street, according to the report.
