NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A person was found dead on Sunday morning amid a search for a missing swimmer in Queens, police said.
The person was located on a beach, according to police. It's unclear exactly where the body was found.
Police said late Saturday that they were searching for a missing swimmer in Far Rockaway.

Witnesses said they heard a man yelling for help in the waters off Beach 17th Street and the Rockaway Beach Boardwalk around 9:15 p.m., according to police.
The NYPD Harbor and FDNY Marine units were searching for the swimmer before the search was suspended at 10:30 p.m.
The search resumed at daylight Sunday.
Police are investigating whether the body is that of the missing swimmer.
